As one of the largest trade companies worldwide, METRO Group is a name well known to almost everone. What many people do not know: METRO Group have their own IT service company: Wirh more than 1,500 employees in all 31 countries of METRO Group, MGI METRO Group Information Technology GmbH (MGI) has its headquartes in Düsseldorf (Germany) and is responsible for the full spectrum of information technology in the group: from system development and consulting over operation of computer centers to the provision of network services. Additionally, the proving and adoption of innovative technologies for the trade of the future are in the company's focus of activities.
The training of IT procreation is also of high importance for MGI: Every year, the IT company offers some 25 future-oriented apprenticeship training positions in the professions IT Specialist (m/f) Software Engineering, IT Specialist (m/f) Systems Integration and Information Technology Officer (m/f) to qualified school graduates (precondition at least advanced technical college entrance qualification). For the training year 2008, there are are a few open training positions still available.
